Abesha.com was first establised in 2001, with sporadic breaks in operation taken in between.
Why Eritrea and Ethiopia?
Abesha.com was initially a response to the 1998-2000 Eritrean-Ethiopian war, which caused a significant rift between Eritreans and Ethiopians in diaspora communities.
How come we’ve never heard of you?
How come you have non-Ethiopian/non-Eritrean writers?
Everyone is welcome to provide their insight. We are first and foremost humanist.
How come you have non-Ethiopian/non-Eritrean related content?
Eritreans and Ethiopians live all over the world, and have a wide variety of interests. This website intends to reflect this by showcasing our commonality and diversity.
How come you have too much Ethiopian/Eritrean content?
Our content is usually the reflection of our contributors. We strive for balance, but should you percieve an imbalance, please contribute in the direction you feel is lacking.
